Got out for an evening windsurf at Longrock after work. Took out my vitsea board and 5m NR as it was looking pretty blowy further out and I figured my Naish board would have been too bouncy (I was right about that at least). The wind was cross off at the beach, but as you got futher out it went more offshore, and it was very gusty (well overpowered with a 5m at times) and shifty as the wind was effectively blowing out of Penzance itself. I had a few good runs, but I did spend far too much time sinking and wallowing on my old board which made it hard work at times, especially when your sunk well past your knees ! With Doug at Boardwise suggesting this board was about 75 litres when it was built (late 80's) I guess it really does need replacing with something more sensible and modern.
